The nearby town of Gois has a weekly open air market, shopping  and a selection of bars, cafes and restaurants.  Other  facilities include schools, a Family Doctor Unit,  banks,a petrol station and a gym. A river beach, with bar, is about 500 meters away.

 

The delightful city of Coimbra is just over 30 minutes by car, though there is a regular daily bus service; Porto and Lisbon with their airports are both within easy driving distance, as is the coast.
