It’s in an area which is worth exploring, one peppered with small communities, most of which have a café/bar, there are some good restaurants and excellent River Beaches – it’s a great place for walking, biking and other outdoor pursuits, plus there’s a festival going on, somewhere close by, most weekends over the summer.
Road access is good with the major cities of Coimbra, Porto and Lisbon a comfortable drive, as is the Atlantic Coast, renowned for its beaches and surfing.
