The locality is peaceful and unspoiled, but only 16 kilometres from the nearest town, where full services are to be found, including a medical clinic and schools. The house is ideal for either full time relocation, as holiday accommodation, or a combination of the two. It’s in an area where tourism is increasingly popular, one which is worth exploring, one with many small, hospitable communities, most of which have a café/bar, some a little mini-mart or market. There are some good restaurants and excellent River Beaches – it’s a great place for walking, biking and other outdoor pursuits, plus, amongst other events, there’s a festival going on, somewhere close by, most weekends over the summer. Road access is good with the major cities of Coimbra, Porto and Lisbon a comfortable drive, as is the Atlantic Coast, renowned for its beaches and surfing.
