A short drive from the market town of Arganil is a striking schist quinta standing on147m2 of land. It’s hiking and biking country with River Beaches where you can swim in clean clear water, very unspoiled and worth exploring. Most of the surrounding villages have a cafe/bar and there are some good restaurants. When you want something more lively, various events, sporting and cultural, take place over the summer months.
The local town is bustling, with good shopping, plenty of places to eat and drink, plus all major services including schools, a small hospital and a veterinary clinic. Road access to the major cities of Coimbra, Porto and Lisbon is good. The amazing beaches of the Silver Coast are close enough for an easy day out.
Yes, the cottage requires more work, but the major services, water, fossa and electricity are installed, plus, there is already some comfortable living accommodation – if you are contemplating the purchase of an older house that makes this one well worth considering.
