Access to the major road networks is good, the Medieval City of Coimbra is 45 minutes by car; the Atlantic Coast, renowned for its pristine beaches and great surfing just over an hour. Both Porto and Lisbon, with their international airports are a comfortable drive, the Spanish ferry ports less than a day’s journey.
