Casas do Rossaio

Property in central Portugal
Casas do Rossaio
Casas do Rossaio are ruined schist houses in an abandoned village in central Portugal in the municipality of Góis.
The village is on the edge of the Ceira River on a high hill with fantastic views of the Ceira valley and only 500 meters away from the river.
The village has not been inhabited for many years, more than 40 years, and has many buildings to be purchased, as well as more land. These two houses in particular meet at one of the highest points of the village and enjoy a spectacular sun exposure, access to the village is done by a dirt road and the water comes from a source to the village from a highest point on the mountain. The recovery of this and possibly other houses would make this village one of the most interesting in the region and may even become a tourist point of quality due to the proximity of the river and numerous hiking paths and other recreational activities and other point of interest in the region There is no electricity in the village but recently the electricity was brought to the river so makes the connection easier and affordable.
