Description:
A traditional house with original features located a village near Arganil in central Portugal. The house is made of stone, partially rendered, and is in need of restoration. The property is walled, giving a sunny interior courtyard, with gates for vehicular access. To one side of this courtyard there is a covered area, below which there is a well of 10m depth. The house itself has two distinct parts, one with three floors and the other with two. On the ground floor of the older 2-storey part there are 3 store-rooms, one with a wine-tank. External steps lead up to the 1st floor, where there is a kitchen with a wood floor and an external veranda with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. This veranda joins on to the 3-storeyed house, which has both internal and external stairs. The upper store opens on to a spacious terraced area. On this floor there is a bedroom and another room with wood floors and ceilings, a wooden staircase up to an attic, and a long living-room with 3 windows giving plenty of natural light. Stairs lead down to the first floor, where there is a living-room and 2 bedrooms, and a door opening on to a veranda that links to the other part of the property. The river Alva is just 500m from the property, there are cafés in the village, and all the amenities of Arganil are just 8km distance.
