Quinta Caratão de cima

Property in central Portugal
Quinta Caratão de cima
0.44 ha of terraced floor area and a total area of approximately 3 ha.
Schist ruin that was rebuilt as a two-storey dwelling house with a combined area of about 20m2.
Access road to the house with about 300m.
35000l capacity reinforced concrete tank that provides gravity water to the entire floor area including the home.
Three water sources, one of which feeds the reservoir and which subsequently follows the Largo da casa.
Situated less than 1km from the nearest village (Caratao) and set on the hillside at an average altitude of 500m. It also has stunning views for those looking for a quiet and very private place.
The space was hit by the fires in October 2017. As a result the house has been reduced to walls and the water tank is undamaged.
The surrounding flora consisted mainly of native vegetation in the south (chestnut, oak, birch, heather, carqueja, etc.) and in the north by pine trees. There are still some fruit trees that have resisted the fire (Oliveira, arbutus) among others that can recover naturally.
