From the busy market town of Arganil take the road that heads towards Coja then follow it up into the hills. If you are looking for a quieter, slower way of life the location is perfect; a tiny community, 20 minutes from a bustling village that has shops, restaurants and bars, a very good market and a couple of excellent River Beaches. The county town of Arganil, where there are full services including schools, a small hospital, veterinary practice and everything else necessary for daily life is 35 minutes away.

Whilst an ideal house for full time relocation, the setting, rural, but accessible from the major road networks – Coimbra is an hour away, the Atlantic Coast is 90 minutes – both Lisbon and Porto are a comfortable drive – suggests serious potential for holiday accommodation; if not full time, if you just want a second income, it’s certainly roomy enough to combine a family home with some letting space.

If you are looking for a good sized country house with garden, one which needs a bit of work, this may be what you want. Superb location, realistically priced, with full services and good access – it’s worth viewing.
