With a natural spring, wooded and peaceful with fertile soil, it’s a great place to park up a Campervan. The site has no buildings and full house construction would not be approved, but erecting a small cabin or animal shelter may well be possible. It’s a very useful as well as a very beautiful plot.
There are a number of cafe/bars in the area, some with small supermarkets, a River Beach is close by; the market town of Góis, with all the things you may need, is around 20 minutes’ drive.
The surrounding countryside, rich in culture and history is unspoiled and worth exploring. There are numerous off-road tracks, ideal for hiking and biking – of both kinds.
This area of Central Portugal is just over 40 minutes from the University City of Coimbra, the coast is about an hour away; Porto and Lisbon are each a comfortable driving distance, whilst the Spanish ferry ports at Santander and Bilbao are well within a day’s journey.
